Team Itty Bitty Kitty Committee

For the 9th consecutive year, Team Itty Bitty Kitty Committee is participating in Dog-A-Thon, The Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County's fundraiser and walk for homeless animals.

Even though it's called "Dog-A-Thon", all of the money raised by the Itty Bitty Kitty Committee team will go directly to the cats and kittens -- every single penny of it.

It will help fund the foster program, and many other life-saving projects and programs, too. It will help make shelter improvements for the cats. It will buy cozy little fleece beds, toys, scratchers, litter boxes, and cubbies to help make a cat's stay at the shelter more comfortable. It will help reduce the cost of spay and neuter surgeries for pets of lower income families. It will help fill the shelves of the Emergency Pet Food Bank with cat food. It will help fix and vaccinate the feral and free-roaming cats in our community. It will help lost kitties get reunited with their owners. It will fill bellies with nutritious food. It will provide medical care for tiny kittens, adult, senior, and special-need cats. It will help make cats healthier and happier while they wait to meet their forever families. It will help save lives. Many lives.

Thanks to some really amazing, compassionate, and generous folks, in our many years of fundraising, we've raised $750,000 for the cats and kittens. We're proud of what our community has raised and love seeing our money being put to good use by the Humane Society. It makes our hearts feel warm when we see the lives of so many cats improved.

This year we're dreaming big and we're hoping you'll be able to help us reach our $100,000 goal by making a contribution to our campaign. It's lofty goal, we know, but we feel confident we can reach it because there are so many caring and generous cat and kitten lovers like you to help us get there.

We do hope you'll consider supporting our cause by making a tax-deductible donation today!

Many thanks for listening. If you care to help us out, just click on the DONATE link in the upper right corner of the page.  If you know someone who shares your love of cats and kittens, please forward a link to our page! Spreading the word really helps!

PS If you're free on Saturday, July 22th between 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, you can join the celebration along with more than 1,000 other animal advocates and their four-legged friends for Washington's biggest dog walk -- the 27th annual Dog-A-Thon!

Held at Fort Steilacoom Park in Lakewood, this fun, family event has something for everyone: lakeside and scenic trails, dozens of pet-related booths, demonstrations, contests, entertainment, food trucks, and much more!

And just in case you don't know:
The Itty Bitty Kitty Committee is a blog that chronicles the lives of Humane Society kittens fostered by Laurie Cinotto and Craig Miller in Tacoma, Washington. There's a lovely and loyal group of followers from around the world that stop by each day to visit the blog and see what the kittens and our permanent resident cats, Charlene Butterbean and Wylla Stout, are up to.
